Global Rewards Visa Card bonus

Westpac's sent me an offer that gives me and the new cardholder bonus Global Rewards points if I get people to sign up for new Global Rewards credit cards.

If anyone wants one of the special forms, let me know. Better yet, there's an online system by which I can get Westpac's system to email the details to anyone who's interested and you can apply online.

No Diners here. I thought about it, but GR really isn't my focus. Yes, the CC points are useful - I'd say I add maybe 10,000-15,000 points/year on the card - maybe a little more and I spent maybe 6,000-10,000 on upgrades on domestics. For me it's actually very secondary to the purpose of the GR Visa card - With the Gold card (and I don't seem to have been charged the annual fee?!) it includes the travel insurance, which I had to make use of recently, and it worked as advertised. Doing 3-4 major trips a year it pays for itself over and over just on that. To get GR points paying the power bill and buying my tix is just the bonus.

I usually keep a GR balance of acound 50,000 points, which is nothing really, but then again I don't really spend them all that much.

Others mileage will, of course, vary.

I find they always send me such a letter when my credit card gets into a state of disrepair. If I'm paying it off each month then they don't go near me, but as soon as I start making the minimum payment...

I guess financing UA 1K with your own $$ would add up to some serious Global Rewards points!!! Do you have a Diners too?

Westpac have extended the offer to 31 Aug.

If anyone would like a nice, new credit card, this offer runs out at the end of this month.
