SAN-PVD AA $259.19 all in for 6,900+ Q miles

January 7th, 2009 by admin
  • This fare had been posted sometime back by another FTer but I was not able to find the thread. Mods, please feel free to merge.

I just ticketed an MR for the coming weekend out of SAN to PVD, and the same fare is still available for 12/12-13 (possibly other future dates that satisfy the 7 day advance requirement too) and can be routed SAN-SEA-DFW-ORD-PVD-ORD-SAN (without having to step out of an airport because of the no min stay) to net 6,9xx Q miles.

The fare code is ORA7DNR and a sample routing is shown below.

  • 1.81cpm total isn't bad. Especially for those who need to make year-end runs.

According to the rules, that routing won't get AAWCB, but since you're leaving/coming back to SAN, who knows if the system will give it to you anyway, as per some reports.

  • If anyone's curious, I found a fare from SAN-WAS for $269 all in, which nets ~7600 EQM, ~16,000 total miles (incl. AA.com + PLT bonii) = 1.24cpm. And this qualifies for AAWCB.

The catch... you have to buy today and fly out in Dec 12 ;)

  • Darn. Forgot about AAWCB. Anyway, I was able to get my ticket for $215 because I used a voucher earned courtsey of a VDB at BOS a few months back.
